Our Little Fish

Jacob has turned into quite the little fish this swim season. He had a rough start with his first round of swim lessons, but once he got the hang of it he was off and swimming! He could spend HOURS at the pool, which is how I spent many of my summer days as a child.

Ellie loves to go to the pool, too. Her favorite thing about it is wearing Jacob's goggles. She has several new words in her vocab, and one of them is "goggles". :)

Ellie is also WAAAY into her blue sunglasses, which she also calls "goggles". In the picture below she is eating breakfast in them, upside down. Classic Ellie. A video of Jacob swimming below, too.

Visit from Grandma

We were excited to have Greg's mom visit us for the week from New Zealand. She's in the U.S. for about three months, traveling around to visit her kids and grandkids. The last leg of her trip is for Greg's brother's wedding in the Boston area - so it's a busy three months for her! Jacob and Ellie were VERY excited to spend time with their Grandma.

This is the first time that Jacob has been able to spend real one-on-one time with her since he was a baby, and he just loved it. Ellie also had fun with her - even sitting up in her lap by about day 2 (which is a big deal for her!).

Here are some pictures of the kids with Grandma. Thanks for visiting! Come back soon!

Introducing - The Newton Family Blog

The Newton family has started a blog! After religiously reading my cousins Cristie and Tanya's blogs, I decided we should try it out for ourselves. I always enjoy reading their updates after a fun weekend and, of course, seeing new pictures of their families. So, here goes!

Here are a few recent(ish) pictures that our wonderful friend, Erin, took of the kids. She's extremely talented and we are lucky that she likes to photograph our family! Thanks, E.

I hope you enjoy reading our blog and seeing new pics of the family. Check back often for updates!
